How to Bypass Internet Filters Easily

This article is for informational purposes, and does not in any way encourage the reader to resort to any illegal means of bypassing Internet filters.

The idea of Internet filtering refers to content control software or web filtering software designed for controlling the content that a user can access over the web. Often, Internet filter software are used in schools and offices to restrict user access to Internet resources. An Internet filter is a software tool, with the help of which, web content accessible from a certain computer or network can be controlled. Internet filters serve as the means to monitor content that users of a particular computer or computer network are allowed to read. Internet filters can prove to be of help to parents who wish to monitor their kids' Internet use.

How do Internet Filters Work?

How does an Internet filter work? Internet filters can allow or block Internet access based on web content type or actual website URLs. The filtering can be done before the data reaches the client or before it is handled by the browser. The allowing or blocking of web access is done by comparing browser requests with a predefined list of URLs to be banned. It can also be done by checking the incoming data on blocking parameters like content type and keywords. This allowing and blocking of web access is associated with terms like black list and white list.

The blacklisted site URLs are those which are disallowed access to, while those websites to which access is allowed are the white-listed ones. Internet filters can be used to ban access to websites that are marked under a certain category that is not intended for public use. Net Nanny and Safe Eyes are some examples of Internet filters. Some Internet filtering methods restrict web users from searching for content. That is, web access is banned for a user who searches with controversial terms or 'blacklisted' words or phrases. Content labeling is another method used by Internet filters, wherein a small file describing the web page content is generated and used by the filter software to block or allow that page or website. Most of the browsers today, come with Internet filtering capabilities. They allow users to place websites under security categories that the browsers can use for content filtering. Choosing an Internet service provider that restricts access to certain types of web content, is another way of implementing Internet filters.

Bypassing Internet Filters

It is a threat to Internet safety. It may not seem right to bypass Internet filters. But there's another side to it. There's criticism over whether restricting web access is right. Sometimes, Internet filters are blamed for banning useful information. It's not always possible for a software to rightly filter every objectionable piece of content. At times, good content becomes a victim of web filtering, which is when bypassing Internet filters becomes a need.

Also, information that is offensive for one user may be useful for another. Controversial content which, some consider, should be banned, can be of use to individuals researching on the subject. The line of difference between what should be allowed and what should be blocked is not always defined. Many times, the usefulness of web content depends on the users' interpretation of it. For these and other similar reasons, you might require to bypass Internet filters at work, home, or school.

How to Bypass Internet Filters?

Is it possible to easily bypass them? How exactly can that be done? Here are some easy ways.

Use Web Proxy

There are certain freely available web proxies that are downloadable from the Internet. They can help you bypass Internet filters employed in your school or at your workplace. You can search for free online proxies on the Internet. It will fetch you a list of free proxies that can be used. Or you could join a proxy mailing list to keep yourself updated with fresh proxies regularly.

A web proxy has an interface with a search box like element in which you can type the address of the website you intend to visit. On submitting the URL, you'll be directed to the website you didn't seem to have access to. Anonymous proxy servers are an effective means to bypass Internet filters.

The other option is to manually edit the proxy settings of your browser. You can actually set a proxy in the browser. For this, you'll need to go to Tools>Options>Connection Settings of your browser and change the proxy settings to a proxy. If you are using Internet Explorer, go to the LAN settings in the connections tab, click to select 'proxy server', copy the address of the public proxy that you have selected in the 'Address' field, type in the port number of the proxy address and click OK. If you are using Firefox, go to 'manual proxy configuration', write the proxy address and its port and check the 'use this proxy server for all protocols' option. This will enable you to use the same proxy for all the Internet protocols. Whenever you change the proxy, you will have to manually change the proxy settings for your browser.

Use the IP Address

This is one the best methods and it's also quite simple. All you need to do is go to the Command Prompt, type 'ping <website url>'. Here, enter the address of the website (without the http://) you wish to access by bypassing the web filter. You will see 'pinging <website name> [<IP address>] in the window. The number, precisely, the set of four numbers, that follows the website name, is its IP address. You could also use the 'nslookup' by typing nslookup <website name>. Refer to the 'address' in the 'non-authoritative answer' field that appears after the command is executed. It is the IP address of the website you intend to access.

Note: If you don't have access to the command prompt, open notepad, type cd.. or cd, then type cmd and save the file as 'cmd.bat'. Doubleclicking on the file should take you to the command prompt. This method serves as an easy Internet filter bypass.

Change the way you Browse

Browsing with text editors can help you. Open notepad, type the IP address of the website you intend to visit, save the file as filename.html and open it in a browser. Use the ping method to obtain the IP address of the website you wish to visit and remember to type the IP address with the 'http'. Opening the html file in a web browser should take you to the website you are looking for.

Remotely accessing the Internet is another method of easily bypassing Internet filters. Establish a remote connection with a computer that does not employ any kind of web filtering. With remote Internet access, bypassing Internet filters won't be a problem. If it's the browser which is restricting your web access, changing the browser or downloading a portable browser for use, should solve the problem. Another way to bypass web filters is to use web page translation sites. Use a translation site like bablefish or google translate, enter the address of the blocked website and select the 'translate to English' option. This method can be used to bypass web filters only if translation sites are not blocked.

Disabling Internet Filters

The first step in disabling web xxx tubes filters is to go to the control panel. Switch to Classic view, click on Internet Options, click on the Security tab, choose 'custom level' settings. It will take you to Security Settings - Internet Zone. Here, you'll be able to edit the Internet filter settings. On the security tab, you'll find an option to change the security levels. Changing them might be of help. However, lowering the security levels can pose a major threat to your computer security. Changing your browser settings to disable the blocker is another way to go.

While adopting any of these methods for bypassing Internet filters, be careful. You might have to face legal consequences if you are breaching Internet security for the wrong reasons. After all, bypassing something that you are supposed to pass through, cannot be risk-free. So, be careful.

KIDS' TV HOLDS VERY ADULT CONTENT.

Byline: AMY JOHNSON Local View

DISRESPECT, violence, profanity and callousness -- these are a few of the things TV producers are working overtime to teach children about. Parents already know they don't want MTV coming into their homes, but this wave of anti-social behavior is not from the usual suspects. Unfortunately, much of this is from children's entertainment programming, mostly cartoons.

When our youths are fed a steady diet of sex, violence and profanity, everyone needs to take notice. Whether you have children or not, you will be affected by the changes that will be apparent in schools, in the workplace and on the streets.

A recent study by the Parents Television Council, ``Wolves in Sheep's Clothing,'' examined what Hollywood is producing for children ages 5 to 10 on eight networks. In the 443.5 hours of programming, researchers documented a big cock free shemale webcams staggering 3,488 instances of violence. This isn't just an anvil falling on Wile E. Coyote. It is realistic, and often pits one child against another.

On Fox's ``Shaman King,'' a fight between two characters ends when one kicks the other in the head and knocks him unconscious. The victor picks up the loser by his hair, and reaches into his chest while the loser screams. The victor then takes out the loser's soul and puts it into his own body, silencing the other. What is this teaching the 6-year-olds in the audience?

The American Psychological Association weighed in on this debate with a 15-year longitudinal study of 329 youths. They found that children's viewing of violent TV shows, their identification with aggressive characters, and their views of TV violence as reality are all linked to aggression as young adults. Researchers went back to the participants years later and noted that men who were high TV-violence viewers as children had been convicted of crimes at over three times the rate of other men. Women had similarly alarming rates.

Without any help, children find terrible ways to put each other down. Many shows encourage this with new put-down ideas and comments. The adults are often worse than the children, on shows such as Disney's ``Proud Family.'' Adults regularly have exchanges such as when one told the volunteer baseball coach that ``we all have real jobs, you're the only loser with spare time.''

Disrespectful behavior is in style as well. The PTC study found 622 examples of disruptive, disrespectful or otherwise problematic attitudes. Out of these, 53 were aimed toward teachers or parents. Disrespect for authority takes much more time away from learning time in the classroom today than ever before, and with what children are watching on TV, it is no surprise.

Not so long ago, the promotion of sex started with teenagers, but now this isn't early enough for Hollywood. On Disney's ``Sister, Sister'' there are references to pornography, descriptions of foreplay and discussions about a ``Gay Policeman's Ball.'' Are these topics appropriate for 8-year-olds to be discussing?

In 2005, a University of North Carolina study found that adolescents who are exposed to more sexual content on TV, and who see it supporting sexual behavior, report more sexual activities and greater intentions to engage in intercourse in the future. We all pay for this eventually, with unwanted pregnancies, and children who contract sexually transmitted diseases.

The next time your child wants to watch cartoons or other child-targeted TV shows, take a long, hard look at what lessons they are being taught. You will likely find a lot you don't want them to learn.

Hidden hormones can bring about early puberty in kids

Children grow up fast - every parent knows that. But in modern America the speed of growth isn't just about the years flying by too quickly. What if you discovered that your 6-year-old was already developing pubic hair? Or your 8-year-old daughter was already developing breast buds? It can be a very scary experience as a parent. There is a lot for parents (and patients, as they come of age) to understand about precocious puberty.

About precocious puberty

Recent studies have shown that puberty is occurring in children at a very early age. Young girls as young as 8 years old may experience normal breast development and pubic hair. As of 2010, two times as many girls were experiencing early puberty compared http://naturel-busty-webcams.easyxblogs.com to a decade ago. However, in some cases, children as young as 6 and 7 years old - or younger - may experience these symptoms, a condition known as precocious puberty.

What's causing the problem?

Scientists have linked the trends in early puberty to several different factors.  Society has begun moving at a faster and faster pace - convenience foods and ready-made products have become a regular part of everyday life. These conveniences, however, are one of the most obvious links to early puberty.

The FDA currently allows six hormones in the food supply, including estradiol, estriol, testosterone and progesterone - the sex hormones that can accelerate the age at which puberty occurs.  The obesity epidemic plays a role as well. Estrogens are made and stored in fat tissue - increasing exposure in overweight and obese children.

And, of course, toxins found in everyday products can be a culprit as well. Household products like hand soap, shampoos, cosmetics and cleaning products contain chemicals - namely parabens - that are known as xenoestrogens and can mimic estrogen in the body, increasing the likelihood of early puberty.

What are the treatment options?

In most cases of precocious puberty, a monthly injection of a medication, such as leuprolide, is a sufficient treatment. This drug delays development until the child reaches the normal age of puberty. Upon discontinuation of the medication, the process of puberty will resume as normal.

In rare cases, the early onset of puberty may be linked to a tumor on the adrenal glands. This tumor may be surgically removed and stop the progression of puberty.

What can you do right now?

You can slow or eliminate the impact that early exposure to excess hormones has on your kids by changing a few every day habits. Not only will you improve their health at this young age, but you will teach them how to live a healthy lifestyle throughout their lifespan and reduce the increased risk of disease that accompanies early onset puberty.

1. Go green. Choosing organic foods or, even better, shopping at the local farmers market will cut down on the chemical exposure and processing of your food. Cut down on the chemicals in your home by cleaning with natural substances, like vinegar and lemon juice. These are equally effective and non-toxic.

2. Read product labels. Spend time reading labels when choosing foods, household cleaners, shampoos, soaps and cosmetics. Avoid products with a lengthy chemical list and be on the lookout for the most common culprits of bodily harm, like parabens, ingredients ending in "-eth," sodium lauryl or laureth sulfate, triclosan and triethanolamine (TEA).

3. Exercise. Get your child involved in an active lifestyle. Take walks together as a family, encourage participation in recreational sports, take your kids to jump rope or play tag at the park. Physical activity can help your child with weight management and further reduce exposure to hormones.

Protecting Against Pornography in the Digital Age

Protecting Against Pornography in the Digital Age

 by: Nate Baslow

It was inevitable with the birth of the Internet that pornography would wind its way into this new digital territory. With all of the value provided by online information and communication technologies, these advancements have nonetheless also become inextricably linked with developments in pornography distribution. Fortunately, new technology brings not only new outlets for pornography, but also new ways to protect against it.

There are several sources of unwanted pornography. The web is the most obvious one, but adult content also makes its way on to external drives (floppy, CD-ROM, DVD and flash), into email attachments and on to files that may be shared in a networked environment. The right software can protect you across all of these distribution avenues.

The first factor to evaluate when choosing protection software is how the software does its job. Many products designed to protect against pornography rely on databases of known pornographic web sites. Unfortunately, the speed of life on the Internet means that web sites are added and edited around the clock, and databases quickly grow outdated. The best software solutions use technology that dynamically blocks offensive images before they are displayed and viewed. This type of technology, unlike database-driven software, means that even new threats are recognized and blocked before they hit your screen.

Monitoring computer usage goes hand in hand with detecting pornography on the PC. Strong protection software uses two monitoring weapons: a visible deterrent that lets users know they are being monitored, and a reporting function that keeps detailed records of what, when and where pornography is viewed. Sometimes the visible deterrent is enough to ward of inappropriate behavior. When it's not, automated record-keeping tracks behavior so that you can handle it at your own discretion.

Flexibility also impacts the effectiveness of busty cams a software solution, which means the software you select should be customizable. The right level of protection depends on the audience, and you need to be able to set the appropriate controls accordingly. This includes both setting sensitivity levels and defining your own known safe (white) and unsafe (black) web sites.

The last two key components in protection software are where it works and how much it costs. The where is important because, as the world moves to laptops, a server-based solution is no solution at all. Protection must extend to stand-alone PCs or mobile computers (when not connected to a network). Wherever the user goes, the software shield against pornography should follow.

Cost can be either a one-time fee or an ongoing subscription. Are you are willing to shell out dollars on a monthly or annual basis, or would you rather spend money once and avoid ongoing payments? Most filtering protection software products require ongoing payments via a monthly or annual fee, but others that are installed on home computers or business networks are obtained through a one-time license fee. If you prefer to "buy" a solution rather than "rent" it at an ongoing cost, look for one that offers that option.

There are a lot of products on the market designed to protect against pornography. Choosing the right one for your home, office or organization will make a critical difference in the quality of your digital life. Evaluate your options and select software that blocks offensive images at the point of display, includes monitoring capabilities and meets the specific needs of your environment. These key elements will steer you toward the highest quality solution for improved online security and productivity.
